Visit the International Ombuds Day Expo and info session
20 October 2025
The Office of the City Ombudsman is hosting its annual International Ombuds Day Expo during the month of October 2025, with this year’s theme “Empowering Voices, Resolving Challenges”.
Members of the public and interest groups are invited to attend an information sharing Expo, where representatives from City service departments, various Ombuds offices and regulatory bodies will bring vital services to the communities they serve.
The City’s Acting Ombudsman, Helene Fouche will be engaging with residents to help raise awareness and educate the public on the important role and responsibilities they play within these industries. Residents are encouraged to come along and visit the information tables.
The Ombudsman’s Office deals with municipal-related complaints about the City’s administration as an office of last resort. This means that members of the public must first exhaust all avenues within the City’s administration before approaching the office.
The Ombud’s Office is available to assist residents with all last resort municipal-related complaints. The services of the office are free and a voluntary option for handling complaints.
These engagement sessions are planned for the month of October:
